The Beautiful View.

Lindsay Lohan in the new maxim inspired this latest drawing. This is all #2 pencil shading and all. And to quote my brother who has probably seen 90% of my drawings "you did that B, that's better than before you stopped drawing". I think even everything that's happened to her she is still gorgeous or at least takes great pics. The next few weeks I'm going to be picking up art supplies so there should a couple different mediums posted.

My Spare Time

I have a new drawing ready to scan in and a new subject on deck. While you(and I) wait for that Here is a 16 I did not too long ago. I love this Dilla beat over the breaks I've written to it several times and this one comes out really good. I'll probably upload a couple more of these too, always been therapeutic for me to write verses.

The Baby Step: Meet John Wall by B

After some delay and multiple false starts here it is. The first finished unfinished sketch, Inspired by the John Wall ESPN magazine NBA draft cover. Pretty anti-climatic I know, but I wanted to get it out there so I can start on the next one. I'm not going to over scrutinize it but y'all are welcome to, I'm just glad to be back on the horse. Many more to come...

Radii: definition of art

I was going to post pics of these in my Sneakerhead FB group but I probably would've been kicked out. The Shoemaker is called Radii and they make in my humble opinion ugly shoes in general. I'm sure the hypebeasts and hipsters are already on these like they're the new Supras, however I'm not them.

That said, looking at them did get me to think of what I always say the definition of art is, which I stole from my art history teacher at AIPH. Art is something that forces you to form an opinion positive or negative.

The First Post: Welcome to my insane sanity

This is blog is dedicated to getting back my lost love of drawing. In life sometimes you lose things on the way to the person you are in the present. For whatever reason my passion for drawing got lost in the criticism, robotic nature of trying to make it a job. I'm now 7 years from that and I rarely put pencil to paper to draw. The following posts will be my attempts at the recapture of my God Given talent and hone it back into something useful.

I can tell you after a bunch of false starts I've got something worth showing while incomplete(they say pieces are never complete the artist just decides to move on) it is building block to something I think is still inside me and just another outlet to release some of the stress this adult life heaps on you.

In between drawing posts though I will put up some things that inspire me. Maybe some written pieces and just some cool other stuff I come across.

In the meantime in between time stay blessed and look out for me, I'll be back before you know it.
